Because fierce biblical women need their stories told
About Robin
As a kid, I dreamed of becoming a feminist theologian, archaeologist, and writer. I discovered my passion in writing historical fiction that re-imagines the lives of biblical women from a secular viewpoint. My archaeological work, extensive travels, and living in the Mediterranean and Near East ground my writing in the sights, sounds, and textures of the settings where my stories take place. When I’m not writing, I enjoy volunteering, cooking gourmet vegan meals, and greedily devouring books.
About The Book Projects
Junia: The Forgotten Apostle
Junia: The Forgotten Apostle narrates the story of the only woman in the New Testament described as an apostle. After Jesus casts out the evil spirit tormenting Junia, she escapes her abusive marriage and becomes one of the women funding the early Christian movement. As her influence grows, the schemes of a rival apostle to silence her trigger the demon she believed had been defeated. Junia faces an impossible choice—confront her aggressor and risk possession again, or abandon the mission that gives her life meaning.
Judith the Wise
In 690 B.C.E., the Assyrian army marches on Jerusalem, intent on destroying the holy temple. To reach it, General Holofernes and his 100,000 soldiers must first conquer the town of Bethulia. In her courage lies Israel’s last hope for survival. Inside the besieged walls, food dwindles and despair spreads. Judith, the town’s Wise Woman, devises a perilous plan: to cross enemy lines, seduce the general, and cut off his head. In her courage lies Israel’s last hope for survival.
